Haifa opens to traffic.

The Carmel Tunnels are a set of road tunnels in Haifa, Israel and are operated as a BOT project. The tunnels’ purpose is to reduce road congestion in the Haifa area and to provide an alternate route from south to east, cutting travel time from 30–50 minutes down to 6 minutes and avoiding the traffic-congested downtown Haifa.

The mini site was designed to show and monitor the excavations and building progress and allow a dialogue with the general public about the tunnels.
